So after the 9 hours of stop-overs and 9 hours of standing by and waiting, we've reach Vigan! It's past 6am and we haven't gotten decent sleep but thank God we arrived early in our first hotel which is Hotel Salcedo. Before we go to our assigned rooms, our professor told us that we're gonna be in the standard room which doesn't sound good to us because some of our classmates room sound so damn good! and when we're in our room our speculations about it was right.
Our room wasn't that bad although the signal was so poor and we're 5 and there's only 2 bed lucky for us we manage to sleep but not well. I remember waking up at around 10:30am then after that we were all awake. Then we decided to go outside even though we still haven't taken a bath or even brush our teeth! Hahaha! we just didn't care though since no one would know since were just taking a walk. Not a big deal for us. So yeah.
Lunch will be at 12pm so after we took a morning walk, we decided to go back and get ready for lunch. After we had lunch we were told that at 1:30pm we need to meet our other classmates in the lobby for our first destination which is Rowilda's Handloom Weaving which was established in 1977. It's 36 years from now. You could see that the quality of their product was very good compared from their other competitors as I must say.
We didn't stay much there because it was too small to occupy 90 people so we just took a couple of shots in our cameras then left. Then we proceeded to our next destination which was The Baluarte of Sen. Chavit Singson. I was surprised how big it was. There were variety of animals that you could see from Ostrich, Lion, Birds, Snakes. It was like a zoo except fewer animals. But nonetheless, I had a great time there with my friends and professors.
Our last destination was the Burnay (Pottery) Session and there we met one of the national artist/sculptor who is really good in making pots. He was very accommodating and friendly to us as we ask questions regarding pottery business. I was really amazed on how he mold the sand/clay on his hands and how it became a pot. He was so good even though he was quite old.
After that, we went back to our hotel to rest. Dinner is at 8pm and we went back early so we had the time to roam around the city just for ourselves. Some decided to stay at the hotel. And after the dinner we told our professor that we will be going outside to eat bagnet because I'm so craving for it! Hahaha! Anyways, We ordered two bagnets because one isn't enough for us because the serving was that small. While eating bagnet we also bought Bugnay Wine which made a perfect combination.
