K+12 Programs: A Problem or a Solution?

It’s been said that our country has a low quality of education and we are far off competing with other countries in the world. Is K+12 or kindergarten plus 12 years of the Department of Education will be the key in improving our quality of education?

A K+12 programs are a law that runs by the Department of Education which aims to add two more years of every grade and year level. The said curriculum were made up of 3 years from kindergarten, 6 years in elementary, 4 years in junior high school and 2 more years from senior high school.

As we all know, educations is the key to everyone success. However, 14 out of 100 according to a survey are those people who are lucky enough to finish College. It’s very sad to think of it but it’s the true face of reality. Education is one of the most problems that our country is experiencing in today’s world.

But the problem is not really the length of the teaching but the quality of teaching which the teachers do especially in public schools. Because in the recent tests that our governments made that measure the academic performances of the students in every public schools. The problem is that passing rates of the students were low according to Department of Education.

Moreover, students now a day are in the latter of having a remarkable rate in the international tests and even in high school we are in the lowest rank. It is a sign that other countries experience more of their intellectual and psychological skills with them having the K+12 systems in their country.
