Day 13 of 365 Day Challenge: Your favorite quote

It's kinda easy when you've got nothing because nothing can't be taken away from you, but I don't want nothing anymore.

- Chris (Skins UK Series)

When we were born, we still don't know what is going to happened to us. We still haven't earned the capacity to speak, the capacity to walk and the capacity to think. Our minds is just a blur of random things. Yet, we see unfamiliar things, faces and events that is going to happen. We never complain because we know that our parents is doing a good job in providing us what we need. Love, food, shelter, clothing and everything that we need. They never stopped taking care of us since when we were in our infant years.

They'll make sure that we get everything that we need. Provide us safety place and healthy living. They're God's gift to us. And for them, seeing us smile makes them happy because they feel relieved that we don't experience any kind of pain. They are our first teachers in life. And we can't thank God enough for all the beautiful days we spend with them.

But the problem is that when we grow older, we didn't easily get contented. Of what we have, and of what we are. Change is constant, so if we didn't go with the flow we'll might miss what's the good thing in it. We aim for the best. Of course, who would like the worst? Even I would aim for the best.

Technologies, Information Technologies are arising, Some of us want to have the new gadgets. Some of us enjoys using it. Some of us thinks it's an investment. But have you ever tried to think about of yourself not having those things? Imagine yourself not having those, just an ordinary person, living your life to the fullest and doing what you like. Don't you think others would say that you're a boring, geeky, or a nerd person? Yes! The problem is that we continue yearning for the things that we want. But all that we need is the ones who is always there, could be our friends, our families and our loved ones.

Sometimes, it is never wrong to have what we want because not all we want isn't useful to us. But having a lot of newly released cellphones? Does it make you a better person? One is enough. We need to get contented of what we have.

The reason why I picked the quote is that, sometimes it's better to have nothing than to have everything because when you have everything you'll never be contented of what you have. You'll might spend it, give it or throw it. But the thing is you'll never know that someday, that everything will gave you nothing.

But sometimes, it is never selfish to have everything just in a while, because you get to experience what it feels like to have the things that you never expected to have. It's like giving your heart to someone whom you just met once but you certainly found a connection with that someone just for one night.

It's never bad to want the things that we never had. Our want's are just like our wishes, when we claim it we get tired and bored of wishing. It's like having a disease or a disorder, you didn't want it but you have it.
